Business and Operations
Ero operates in the metals and mining sector, with a primary focus on the production and development of copper and gold assets.
Ero currently has 3 operating mines, and one project under development, all in Brazil. The mines are located in Mato Grosso (Xavantina), Bahia (Caraíba) and Pará (Tucumã) provinces, and the project is located in Pará (Furnas). No, Ero currently only has operations in Brazil, and is headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Ero sells the copper concentrates produced at its Caraíba and Tucumã operations to international traders, who in turn supply customers around the world, primarily in Asia and Europe.
At the Xavantina Operation, Ero produces doré bars containing gold and silver. These doré bars are sold to COIMPA Industrial Ltda., a Brazilian refiner that is part of the Umicore Group. COIMPA refines the material and exports most of the gold to its parent company in Germany.
In 2024, Ero produced 40,600 tonnes of copper in concentrate and 57,210 ounces of gold. For the most up-to-date production figures, please refer to the latest Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) available in the Investors – Reports and Filings section of this website.
As of December 31, 2024, Ero Copper had 3,692 employees and 3,787 contractors. Of these team members, 99% are based in Brazil.
